Polytechnic Ibadan explains reasons for delay in students’ resumption
The management of The Polytechnic Ibadan on Friday revealed why its students are yet to resume
While explaining the reasons, it said that erratic supply of electricity on campus was the major factor.
The institution in a statement signed by its Registrar, Mrs. Modupe Fawale, made available to DAILY POST on Friday, also assured stakeholders in the institution, particularly students and their parents that the institution will soon reopen for students’ activities.
Fawale said “The student who were given a mid semester break on 4th April,2019 and billed to resume on 10th April could not do so because The Management was fine tuning the logistics for their resumption.
“Any violence or protest engineered by any group purporting to be students or interest groups within the institution will not be tolerated as those arrested by police will be prosecuted , the statement added.
“The statement appealed to parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards as the authority of the institution will not be liable for any action of the students while on this mid semester break”.
